Support Us
SIA is a 12 Step fellowship; We grow by giving back through service. There are many opportunities to serve, starting at the group level by setting out literature, making coffee, or chairing a meeting. In time, a member could serve as a group representative for their local inter-group or at the World Service Conference. Also, members with active participation in SIA are welcome to help out at the World Service Office or join a World Service Conference Committee. Please see theย World Service Conferenceย &ย SIA Service Structureย pages for more information.
Loving Higher Power, grant us the serenity
to accept the things we cannot change,
the courage to change the things we can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.
Volunteer Info
In 12 Step fellowships we donโt think of it as volunteering in the traditional sense, but rather โcarrying the messageโ by working Step 12-Having had a spiritual awakening as a result of these Steps, we tried to carry this message to other survivors and to practice these principles in all our endeavors. More Ways to Help
An SIA meeting is a unique tool to use during recovery. The caring support from other survivors is what makes our meetings what they are โ a safe place to come together and share. Many of our meetings have been started by survivors who had never been to an SIA meeting. There is no one โcorrectโ way to lead a meeting and formats differ from one group to another. You can find examples on the Downloadable Materials page โ if youโre considering starting a meeting weโve made these available specifically for you!
Monthly giving provides critical year-round support. Recurring donations allow you to spread your contribution over small monthly gifts while allowing us to have a dependable base of support that saves time, banking fees, and paper. On the Donate page, simply choose the monthly amount that youโd like to give, complete the rest of the form, and be sure to check the โYes, automatically repeat this gift every monthโ option.
